Protecting Us and Them

The Grid Guard is a modular, electrified tile system designed to deter wildlife. It can be used to protect thresholds, vehicles and anything else that you want to keep non-flying animals away from. Paradise Pest Control maintains a close relationship with the company to help install and maintain custom units for our clients.

Electrified Tile System

  • Safe: The grid guard uses an electrical pulse that delivers a non-lethal shock when touched. Although the shock is uncomfortable, it does not cause lasting harm.

  • Modular: The tiles can be arranged to fit your needs. The grid can be broken disassembled, screwed into asphalt or concrete and moved when ever needed.

  • Rugged: The grid guard can be powered by a conventional 110v outlet. It can also be powered by a solar charger or car battery if needed making it an ideal option outdoors. The tiles are designed to be driven over and will operate even when wet.*

Behavior Modification

  • Impact on Animals: Wildlife have altered their behavior as a result of human activity. This can lead to animals that don’t have the skills to live in the wild independent of human food sources.

  • Food Sources: Human created food sources such as garbage, pet food, bird seed and other items bring wildlife interactions into our yards and homes.

  • Education: Modifying our behavior and breaking the cycle of behavior can lead to safer outcomes for people and wildlife.

Bears

  • Safety: Bears will look for accessible food sources whenever possible. This can cause damage to property and even injury to people or pets.

  • Generational: Once bears learn where to get food they will teach their young the same behavior. This can lead to generations of bears that seek food from human sources, furthering a cycle of dangerous behavior.

  • Community: If it takes a village to bring about change. Communities that share space with bears understand that it takes every neighbor to do their part. Proper garbage disposal and preventing bears access to food is a key to success.

Rodents

  • Expensive Damage: When rodents gain access to vehicles they can cause thousands of dollars in damage. From chewing the wiring inside, nesting in air filters or anything in-between, rodents can make short work our cars.

  • Respiratory Health: Rodent feces can aerosolize into a car’s ventilation system causing respiratory issues.

  • Repeat Behavior: Rodents communicate through scent. This can lead to repeat behavior in certain areas when they identify it as a “safe” place to nest and live. A chewed wire in a car may not be it’s last, if left up to chance.
